Crayola Dreams

There's no doubt about it, I love getting new fabric. At its best, it holds the same excitement for me as receiving a gift. It's crispy, fresh and bright; presenting new beginnings and possibilities, no matter how high my current stacks of fabrics are.
It's the adult equivalent of flipping the top on a new box of Crayolas to be greeted by the distinct rainbow in formation. Creating a great graphic before they are even let out of their box. The closest thing to a rainbow that any child will ever hold in their hands.

When new fabric arrives I want to "introduce" it to the rest of my squad immediately and give it a tryout. Sometimes magic happens and other times...not so much. But, like many relationships, in time things can develop and grow and eventually work out. Or, I'll just have to get some more fabric.
